Hi. I am Ronald Kary Black, and this is my portfolio site. My Dad didn't want Ronald Jr., but Mom wanted to name me after him, in a fine example of compromise I've gone by Kary since birth. I'm at Digital Extremes, as an environment artist. ________ Click for resume, in rtf.
Software Proficiencies:
Skills Modelling: I am experienced in prop and environmental modelling and comfortable with both hard surface, organic modelling and retopologizing.
Sculpting: Is something I really enjoy, be it for characters or adding the last layer of detail for a static mesh prop. Texturing and Unwrapping: I'm comfortable with a range of tools, from Silo and Roadkill's LSCM to Max's pelt and relax methods. Traditional: I have a classic art education and can effectively communicate visually for brainstorming sessions and similar.
I am a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD), where I studied an odd mix of film, video, holography, and drawing. |
