This giant cephalopod* was created as a showpiece for the museum of Bioshock2. The artistic idea behind the level was an over the top museum where the myths and creatures of the sea are explored for the entertainment of the people of Rapture. Starting with great concept art by Mike Sebalj and getting a lot of input from the art director, Mat Tremblay, we did what we wanted with it. The environment art lead, Brian Noon, helped me spec out how to make it without a big performance hit and a lot of work went into setting up the collisions to attain the gameplay goals the LD, Joe Buck, had.
