Quick one.
Had some trouble on the legs here, and the top was pleasantly easy. Nice that it isn’t the same problem area every time… I think.
I was pleased when I laid out the proportions on this one. Everything below the shoulders was not upsettingly out of line, nice step up for me. Far far from where I want it to be, but better.
Took a Rubens. Traced over it (the red), then put it up on the second monitor and drew it freehand (boxes version). After being horrified at how badly the box / five min version went I did a quick line version… which went worse. Some of the individual shapes in it are okay which is a comfort, but startling off in general.
I was just starting to get into the habit measuring when working with pencil, and it didn’t make the transition to digital. I guess that I can copy and paste copies of the head or something.
